Our Cottagewood Custom Home Summer Series: Experience Mysa Hus

For the past two years, Mysa Hus has been more than just a home. It’s been an idea, a feeling, and most of all, a story we’ve been building layer by layer.

And now, for the first time, we’re opening it up intentionally, over time. Yes, the home will soon be available. But that’s not where we started. From day one, the goal wasn’t to lead with square footage or price. It was to lead with a story.

Why a Series Instead of One Big Opening

Most spec homes like this would have one big launch, but that’s not Mysa Hus. This home plan was designed around something very different: Intentional living and slowing down. It’s meant for quiet moments and mornings. Small gatherings. Family time. Those little experiences that end up meaning the most.

So instead of opening the doors to 200 or 300 people at once, we’re doing the opposite. We want smaller groups, more intention, and plenty of space to actually feel the home. That’s how it’s meant to be experienced.

What the Summer Series Looks Like

Over the course of June and into July, we’re hosting a series of curated events centered around Mysa Hus and the Cottagewood community.

Each one is a little different, but they all exist to let people experience the home in a meaningful way.

    Here’s a snapshot:

    • June 2: Influencer event (50–75 guests across design, food, lifestyle)

    • June 3: Realtor open with top agents (first time pricing is shared)

    • June 5–21: Artisan Home Tour (open to the public across three weekends)

    • June 9: Curious Builder Collective annual mixer

    • June 26: Cottagewood Store summer gathering (local community-focused)

    • July (TBD): Private VIP chef-led dinner experience

Each event has a slightly different energy but all of them are rooted in connection, storytelling, and experience.

The “22 Moments of Delight Tour”

One of the things I’m most excited about is something we’re calling the 22 Moments of Delight.

Throughout the home, there are QR codes that connect to a private audio experience.

Since I can’t personally walk every single guest through the home, we’ve recorded stories (me, our architectural designer Karl of KA Design, and our interior design partner Melissa of Oho Interiors) sharing the “why” behind the decisions. Why this building material. Why that layout. Why this feeling. It gives people a deeper layer to engage with.

Because great homes are truly thought through and this is a way to let people into that process.

This Home Was Never Built Alone

When we started Mysa Hus, I couldn’t have predicted how much it would grow or how many people would rally around it. At the International Builder Show in 2026, we had close to 32 brand partners involved in this home and that’s just not normal.

But it speaks to something bigger, people believed in the vision early.  So a big part of this summer series is about celebrating them. The people who said yes early, trusted the process, and helped bring this to life.

Why the Community Connection Matters So Much

Mysa Hus is and always has been part of the Cottagewood community. And for me, this isn’t just a place we build, it’s where we live, where we have relationships, where we plan to be for decades. My office is five minutes away. We’ve built homes here. We’ll continue building here. So opening up Mysa Hus to the neighborhood, to past clients and friends matters.

What The Events Will Feel Like

If you attend one of these events, I hope one thing is clear right away: This is not a typical showing. It won’t be crowded or transactional.

It’s meant to feel like you’ve been invited into someone’s home. Because in a way, we’re not just showcasing the home, we’re celebrating the people walking through it.

    The Bigger Idea

At its core, Mysa Hus is about something simple: Small, intentional moments matter.

Whether it’s a quiet cup of coffee in the morning, a conversation around the table, or just the feeling of being in a space that’s been thoughtfully designed, those things add up.

And that’s what we’re trying to create here, the experience that makes home home

What I Hope People Take Away

If someone walks through Mysa Hus and leaves thinking, “Wow, that was different,” then we’ve done our job. But beyond that, I hope it sparks something.

I hope people start thinking about their own passions and stories. The things they care about most. Because when you really dial that in and get clear on what matters to you, it changes everything.

For me, this project feels like lightning in a bottle. And it’s just the beginning of where I want to go next. Building homes that actually mean something.

If you’re interested in moving into Mysa Hus in the summer of 2026, don’t wait to reach out to our team. We’d love to take you on a private walk-through, and show you around.
